Urban Development Institute (UDI) Okanagan

PENTICTON, BC - Penticton Economic Development Services works diligently at developing the community and they believe that Urban Development Institute Okanagan Chapter (UDI) is another source that can help the community in regards to this initiative. UDI is a national association (with international affiliations) of the development industry and its related professions. The 124 corporate members of the Okanagan Chapter ofUDI represent hundreds of individuals involved in all facets of land development and planning and include developers, property managers, financial lenders, lawyers, engineers, planners, architects, appraisers, real estate professionals, local governments and government agencies. As a Partner in Community Building, UDI is committed to working with communities and governments to create and achieve the vision of balanced, well-planned, sustainable and affordable communities.

UDI is always seeking out new members and the benefits as a member are significant. As a member of UDI you will become part of a team of industry leaders and professional staff who are active in promoting the interests of the development industry. UDI has been instrumental in influencing key public policy decisions at all levels of government. This is due to their extensive analysis of policy issues at the municipal and provincial levels, focused mainly on the issues that affect the development industry.

UDI has long standing relationships with municipal governments and has Municipal Liaison Committees set up with most of its municipal members. UDI has an active municipal liaison committee set up in the City of Penticton and they are working together with municipal staff to assist and represent the development industry within Penticton.
